2008 Ken Crowe Memorial Kids Fishing Derby
Saturday May 24
Our annual free kids fishing derby is held at the ODNR District 3 ponds. Registration begins at 8am and fishing is from 9am to noon. Competition is divided into three age groups: 2-5; 6-9 and 10-15. Participants should bring an adult, their own fishing tackle and a small bucket for carrying fish. Conservation is important to us - fish will be returned to the water. There are always many trophies, prizes and a free lunch as well as free bait and an appearance by Billy Bass. These ponds are open free of charge to children 15 years old and younger from Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day weekend on weekends and holidays from 9am to 7pm. The location of these ponds is: Wildlife District #3
